Dr. Heidi became a certified Yoga Teacher in March of 2016. In April of 2017, she completed an advanced Yoga Teacher training in Bali and is now a RYT500 level teacher.

Tuesday Evening Hatha Yoga - Hamilton East

5:30-6:30pm -The Link Community Centre (Crn of Te Aroha & River Rd.)

Tuesday evening Hatha Yoga is open to all levels. With Hatha Yoga you can develop balance, strength, strong bones & flexibility. Hatha uses postures in combination with the breath.

Yoga & ACC

Dr. Heidi is approved as a yoga provider for ACC clients. Apparently, I am one of the only psychologists in all of New Zealand who has an ACC Sensitive Claims Psychologist status as well as being certified as a yoga teacher. ACC has paid for yoga classes with me for people who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): as a work related injury or as a Sensitive Claim. Why? Because we have some research evidence that yoga can help to resolve symptoms of PTSD. If you have a PTSD claim open with ACC, there is a chance they might be able to pay for your yoga classes with me. Decisions will be made on a case by case basis and not everyone will be eligible. However, if you are curious, ask your case manager to contact me and we can see if this might be appropriate for you.
